"Built to Protect. Engineered to Last."
Electrical enclosures and switchboards need a finish that holds up. These components live in demanding environments: industrial plants, outdoor switchrooms, manufacturing floors, and commercial buildings where moisture, chemicals, and physical impact are part of the normal operating conditions.
Powder coating is the standard finish for this type of work. It gives switchboard fabricators and electrical panel builders a consistent, durable surface that resists corrosion, handles cleaning chemicals, and doesn't chip easily.
At Star Powder Coating, we work with electrical panel builders, switchboard manufacturers, and electrical contractors in Melbourne who need reliable turnaround on finished enclosures.
Colour is functional in electrical installations. AS/NZS standards and site-specific colour schemes are commonly used to distinguish switchboard types, voltage levels, and system functions.
We can match standard electrical colours: RAL 7035 (light grey, the most common switchboard colour), RAL 7032 (pebble grey), RAL 9003 (signal white), RAL 2004 (pure orange for warning equipment), safety yellow, safety red, and custom corporate or site colours.
If you have a colour specification from the project engineer or client, contact us with the RAL or Dulux reference number before dropping off.
Note: powder coating is a non-conductive finish. If earthing paths are required on specific surfaces, these areas should be masked before coating. Discuss masking requirements with us when you drop off the job.
Panel builders and switchboard manufacturers come back to us because the quality is consistent. Powder thickness, colour accuracy, and surface finish are checked on every batch. If something is not right, we fix it before you collect.
